Abstract :
A method for optimization of a conductor bundle structure is presented based on the criterion of the maximum electric strength of the conductor bundle-to-ground plane air gap. This type of gap is chosen because it has the simplest configuration of electric field and largely determines the performance and cost of power transmission lines.
