  • Abstract
In this paper, the steam unit of Yazd solar hybrid power plant has been modeled by using the design information of the power plant and using solar field and supplementary firing for generating additional work have been studied. Using solar field increases the net output work about 11.3% and decreases energy and exergy efficiencies about 7%. In the other hand, using supplementary firing, increases net output work up to 17.5% and in contrast, decrease energy and exergy efficiencies about 1 % and 5%, respectively. By using the results, it was found that using supplementary firing in comparison with using solar field generates more additional work and has less negative effect on energy and exergy efficiencies.
