Abstract :
PGandE has been working for several years on the design and implementation of a Distribution Data Base System (Codename: MIDAS). MIDAS will maintain all gas and electric distribution facilities in geographically related data base form. From this single source it will be possible to perform such functions as drawing maps, analyzing electric circuits and gas networks, and preparing tax reports.
