Abstract :
This paper describes practices that the Electrical Systems and Nuclear Power Systems Division within the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) have found effective in the production of useful software. It also describes some present and possible future EPRI projects to aid the power industry in improving the quality of the software they receive, whether it be obtained from EPRI, procurred from other outside sources, or produced internally.
