            Abstract : 
The increased ampacities obtained by force-cooling of cable systems require a matching increase in the ampacity of the cable terminations. A wide variety of designs for such a purpose was investigated. The various options are described and discussed in terms of the required changes in the termination structure and the expected performance characteristics.
