  • Abstract
    A series-push-pull Mach-Zehnder modulator is integrated with a sampled-grating distributed Bragg reflector laser on a dual-quantum-well integration platform. The device exhibited greater than 7.8-dB extinction at 40 Gb/s with a 2.5-V drive voltage across a wavelength range of 1541-1566 nm.
