Abstract
The simulated performance of a ferrite coupled line (FCL) structure with two ferrite regions magnetised in anti-parallel directions is presented for the first time. Compared to a similar single-ferrite FCL, this structure has the advantages of broader bandwidth, shorter length and lower loss. The simulated performance of a 16.1 mm-long dual-ferrite FCL section indicates a potential bandwidth of 12-34 GHz and 0.55 dB loss.
