Switching Surges: Part IV-Control and Reduction on AC Transmission Lines
Abstract :
Switching-surge overvoltages have been studied by the electric power industry since the early 1920s. The results of many studies and tests have been published and the work prior to 1968 has been summarized in three previous reports by theWorking Group on Switching Surges.[1,2,3] Papers published on switching surges between 1970 and 1978 are listed in a recent bibliography by the Working Group on Switching Surges.[4]
