Abstract
A dynamic model for studying induction motor and power supply electromechanical interaction is presented. The electrical system is represented by conventional three-phase models. The motor-driven equipment shaft dynamics are determined by a lumped mass-torsional spring model. The electrical and torsional models are interconnected thru the motor electrical air gap torque and the speed and position of the motor rotor.
