Abstract
A cost-effective procedure is developed for combining computer analyses with earlier shaking table tests of generic-type, multi-cabinet equipment to demonstrate Class 1E seismic qualification of new customer equipment, without the expense of additional shaking table tests. Comparisons of both shock response spectra and power spectral density curves are introduced to show that g-level strength and operability requirements, respectively, can be assured for each new application of the previously qualified generic-type equipment.
