Abstract :
The transfer function is an important parameter in characterizing aperture interactions in electromagnetic topology-based simulations. A model to determine the transfer function between an external source and internal semi-shielded wire using a transmission line as a radiating antenna is explained and applied to multiconductor lines. Both lightning and electromagnetic pulses were used as an external source in the analysis. Simulations were done using an electromagnetic topology based code.
