    To add to the history of the SCR-270 radar´s development (see Viewager et al., vol.3, no.12, p.3-6, 1988 and F. Voltaggio, ibid., vol.3, no.12, p.7-14, 1988) the commenter presents personal recollections regarding the modifications made to several SCR-270 radar sets operating in Hawaii just before the start of World War II.<>
