AdCom Endorses Newsletter Conversion to Magazine, Supports Chandrakasan as ISSCC Conference Chair in 2010

Supports Chandrakasan as ISSCC Conference Chair in 2010 . The AdCom voted to proceed with Phase I of the IEEE process to convert the SSCS Newsletter into a magazine. The final decision of the Technical Activities Board (TAB) will be made in June and publicized during the fall member renewal period. As a publication available in IEEE Xplore, the Solid-State Circuits Magazine will more effectively reach the worldwide IC community and attract top-ranking contributors. The AdCom also appropriated $100K for ISSCC´s Virtual Conference project for posting conference sessions on-line. In additional motions, it endorsed the contiuation of a member development initiative in the Far East and the new, Saturday evening student session at ISSCC.
