Abstract :
Certain properties of the network of departure N_d and the padding network N_p of an ( n + 2 )-node resistive n -port network containing no negative conductances are established. Based an these properties, some necessary conditions and a sufficient condition for the realizability of the Y matrices of ( n + 2 )-node resistive n -port networks are obtained. A new proof for the supremacy condition is given. Also, a necessary and sufficient condition for the realization of ( n + 2 )-node n -port networks having specified Y and K matrices is given.
