Abstract :
Hydrogen-induced-losses due to the reaction at 4 degrees C after 25 yr were estimated by chemical kinetics in dispersion-shifted and standard fibres. The loss increases at 1.3 and 1.55 mu m were negligibly small in both fibres, although exposure to hydrogen at 1 atm was assumed.
