Obituary [Gustave A. Ferrie]

With deepest regret the Institute records the death of Gustave A. Ferrie. The death on February 16 of General Ferrie has taken from France and the world not only an outstanding communications and military engineer but also a personality beloved by all who had come in contact with him. It was the privilege of the Institute to present to him in 1931 its Medal of Honor in recognition of his pioneer work in the upbuilding of radio communication in France and in the world, his long continued leadership in the communication field, and his outstanding contributions to the organization of international cooperation in radio.
