Abstract :
An algorithm for eigenstructure assignment of two-dimensional linear systems is proposed, which reveals the degrees of freedom in selecting the feedback gain matrix of 2-D systems. Sufficient conditions for the existence of a linear state feedback gain matrix are given. By using the freedom which may be offered by these algorithms an output feedback controller can be designed to achieve the desired eigenstructure.
