Abstract :
This paper presents a methodology which is useful in optimizing the productivity of a power plant through availability engineering techniques. The methodology covers the availability goal, reliability and maintainability analyses, and cost availability trade-off. A numerical example on the application of this technique to power plant productivity improvement is included.
