A Maintenance Management System for Qualified Equipment

This paper describes the first phase in the development of a Maintenance Management System which will be used to assure that the maintenance necessary to ensure the qualification of environmentally qualified, safety-related equipment is performed. A review of the qualification and maintenance documentation of a selected subset of the safety-related equipment was performed, and the information obtained was summarized. Specific recommendations for changes to the maintenance requirements were made, and examples of these recommendations are given.
