Abstract :
The problem considered in this paper is that of setting up an exactly equivalent circuit for a four-terminal network containing one e.m.f. and any number of impedances connected in any manner. Several relatively simple circuits which can be used to represent any such active network, and some others which can be used in special cases, are completely specified.
