Abstract :
For original paper see K. Wu, R. Vahldieck, J. Fikart and K. Minkus, ibid., vol.41, pp.421-430 (1993). This comment has been written because the authors are of the view that some statements in the above paper cannot remain uncontradicted, and to help researchers using the method of lines in case of numerical difficulties. A reply by R. Vahldieck and K. Wu is included.<>
