  • Abstract
A 1024 track stationary head digital recorder has been developed. Although using conventional half inch magnetic tape, this recorder uses new developed components for writing and reading such high number of parallel tracks. We show how this technology is a breakthrough towards higher density, higher data rate and simpler transport mechanism
