  • Abstract
    We have developed a small size mechanism for home-use digital VCRs. A new tape transport system suitable for thin metal evaporated (ME) tape has been developed. As a result, a track linearity within 3 μm and a CN ratio of approximately 50 dB (RBW:30 kHz) have been realized
