Abstract :
We examined a long-play video disc for Hi-Vision baseband video. The Hi-Vision video signal is divided into two TCl signals and recorded on both sides of a disc without bandwidth compression. For playback, two pick-ups using visible laser diode (wavelength:675 nm) read the signals on both sides of a disc simultaneously. We realized a double-density Hi-Vision video disc with 60 minutes´ playback time on one disc
