Abstract :
Generalized curves are derived which allow the utility engineer to easily determine the possibility of parallel resonance on EHV transmission lines. The curves are given for transposed and untransposed multi-circuit lines and for single-circuit lines where the misoperation of a single phase of a circuit breaker is to be considered. The parallel resonance problems associated with typical reactor and transformer configurations are evaluated.
