Approval schemes for electrical appliances

Since the setting up of the joint EDA/BSI Advisory Committee on Electrical Appliances and Accessories, just after the Second World War, there have been inaugurated the BEAB and other approval schemes, and it is now feasible to think in terms of international approvals and certification.
