Abstract :
A new over-octave compact transition between double-ridge waveguide and coaxial line is considered. The transition includes an original waveguide-to-coaxial mode converter and modified impedance transformer. Very good performance is predicted theoretically and confirmed experimentally over a 3:1 bandwidth.
