Abstract :
The medium voltage switchgear have substantially been reduced in size and weight owing to the advance in insulation technology and strength analysis technique. Regarding the insulation technique this paper describes the use of barrier insulation and covering insulation and, with respect to the strength analysis, explains the application of a finite element method and a modal analysis method.
