Abstract :
The partial differential equation in position x and time t , which characterizes the voltage V(x,t) along a linear distributed RC network, can be reduced to an ordinary differential equation (ODE) by using the similarity variable. For the semi-infinite line, the reduced ODE will be solved directly without using the iterated error function.
