Abstract :
In general, this paper deals with the generation and practical utilization of ultra-short waves below ten meters. The first part of the paper describes an ultra-high-frequency oscillator in which a "tank circuit" of novel design is used for the purpose of obtaining a high degree of frequency stabilization without resorting to frequency doubling or crystal control. Later, the feasibility of utilizing ultra-short waves as carriers of signal channels from a remote receiving station to the city operating room is discussed and preliminary experiments described.
