Abstract :
In a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has developed an extensive data base on electric and magnetic fields in the vicinity of TVA´s 500-kV transmission lines. This paper summarizes the grouping by categories, the analysis, and the documentation of the data. The measured fields data are analyzed statistically as a function of the transmission lines´ geometrical parameters and topographical factors.
