Abstract :
Over 25 years ago, American Electric Power (AEP) purchased for the John E. Amos Plant Unit, the first of six new 1300 MW units. With a highly coordinated effort utilizing AEP´s operating experience and the manufacturer´s design and manufacturing capability, extraordinarily reliable generators were produced that have run for all these years with very little trouble.
