Abstract :
Interlocking in the oscillator circuit of superheterodynes has been a subject of study for several years. The electron coupled oscillator did a great deal to solve the problem. The advent of the pentagrid converter brings up a new set of causes by which interlocking can occur. These causes, and the manner in which they manifest themselves, are discussed in this paper. A new circuit is proposed which has been found to reduce greatly the amount of interlocking which is found to occur in the conventional circuits. A new tube structure is also proposed which should accomplish the same results.
