Abstract :
Developing countries need light-weight power distribution poles which resist deterioration in a hot, humid environment. It is possible that wound fiberglass poles can fill this need and also compete in industrialized countries with poles made of other materials. This paper presents an analysis of fiberglass power distribution poles. It is believed that the poles reported in this paper form the first such distribution line in the Western Hemisphere.
