Abstract :
The high-speed polarization change of a probe channel induced by the optical Kerr effect in a wavelength-division-multiplexed optical fiber link is measured using a polarimeter. The average and time-varying output polarization excursions (Stokes vector) are mapped on the Poincare´ sphere and agree well with theoretical predictions.
