Abstract
Having developed the background for understanding and analysing the resonance phenanenon-in shunt reactance canpensated transmission line in Part I, this paper proceeds to prove that a supersynchronous resonance frequency limit exists. Based on the model of equal length line sections, this limit occurs at the power angle of 1800. The mathematical framework for analysing resonant frequencies for unequal line sections has also been developed and the numerical results show that the. supersynchronous limit may even occur at power angles less than 180°.
