Abstract :
We demonstrate a free-space optical circulator for large-aperture directional beam separation at 1.55 μm. The devices utilize a magnetless Faraday rotator and polymer true zero-order wave-plate to enable an 11-mm clear aperture, high-power handling up to 100 W/cm2, and a /spl plusmn/10/spl deg/ field of view.
