Abstract :
The constrained economic dispatch, subject to fuel supply and consumption constraints and unit operating constraints, with shared and mixed fuels, is formulated as a minimum cost network flow problem. To include the piece-wise linear I/O relationship of the generating units, an iterative procedure based on a minimum cost network flow (with arc gains) alsorithm is presented.
