Abstract :
The paper presents detailed analysis of the field patterns in superconducting alternators which, because of removal of the iron magnetic paths, are quite different from those of conventional machines. Special consideration has been given to the rotor screen and methods of measuring and predicting its parameters have been described. Attempt has been made to justify work done with experimental results.
