Abstract
This paper explains the design of multilevel inverter for fuel cell and photovoltaic cell. The hybrid power sources are connected to the load by the hybrid cascaded multilevel inverter. The hybrid cascaded multilevel inverter has the minimum number of switching and increases the voltage level with low harmonic distortion and low switching losses. Multilevel inverter is able to handle high voltage with minimum voltage stress on the switching devices, have a low harmonic content in the output voltage. This topology has been successfully used in applications where higher voltage levels are required. The hybrid power sources used are fuel cell and photovoltaic sources that supplies the inverter. The proposed system produces the different output voltage levels with the minimum THD.
