Abstract
A method is presented for designing linear phase FIR digital filters with absolute upper and lower bounds on the filter frequency response. The design is by iteration based on polynomial interpolation. A proof of convergence of the algorithm is given. A user-oriented standard FORTRAN computer program, CONRIP, has been written to do the design. Copies of CONRIP are available from the authors.
