Abstract :
Higher switching frequency increases the performance of converters. Recently Developing semiconductors are capable of operating at higher switching frequencies. This paper presents a three phase AC/DC inverter operated at 1MHz switching frequency. Increasing frequency reduces the inverter size. Study of various digital PWM controllers are performed and found that SVPWM technique is more suitable for threephase application. FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array)is suitable for high frequency operation. FPGA based PWM controlled inverter can operate at 1 MHz. The simulation results are presented in this paper.
