Abstract :
A three-dimensional power combiner consisting of four oscillator grids stacked in parallel is presented. The 5-GHz quadruple grid oscillator delivers an effective radiated power 6.5 dB greater than that of a single grid, with a corresponding frequency shift of less than 5%. Comparisons are made between a single, double, and quadruple grid oscillator.<>
