Abstract
A monolithic 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) using thin-film resistors is described. A primary feature is the capability of trimming for linearity after packaging using selective shorting of Zener diodes. Error measurement and trimming algorithms are discussed and an analysis of fundamental error sources is given.
