Abstract :
A dual power converter with circulating current mode has been proposed to meet the high-power requirement of four-quadrant DC magnet power supplies. Closed loop output voltage regulation for the dual converter with a circulating current mode, which is used in four-quadrant DC magnet power supplies, is discussed. The closed loop control is designed to improve the dynamic response of the dual converter and to provide the required output regulation. The stability analysis of the closed loop system is also presented to analyze the effect of time delay associated with the sample-and-delay nature of the dual converter gating
