Abstract :
This paper investigates the overlap angle of the bridge rectifier for the variable speed constant frequency double output induction generator (VSCF-DOIG) that has a dc-link converter in its rotor circuit. A mathematical representation of the system during the commutation and interlude intervals using the detailed d-q model technique is presented. This model takes into consideration the stator and rotor electrical transients as well as the machine resistances and all inductances. The theoretical results are then compared with the experimental results obtained from laboratory tests.
