Abstract :
Instead of the design procedures restricted to same special filter types, a unified approach is proposed to design sixteen possible cases for quadrantally symmetric linear-phase 2-D FIR filters. The original forms of the sixteen possible cases are formulated properly such that the eigenfilter method can design them with the same approach. The conversions between the filter coefficients are tabulated in a complete table. Also two numerical examples are shown to demonstrate the usefulness and flexibility of the present approach
