Abstract :
Nonlinear analysis using the Kryloff and Bogolluboff asymptotic approach is adopted to investigate wake-induced oscillations of transmission lines. Analytical expressions for the lift and drag coefficients of the leeward conductor are incorporated in the nonlinear model. This analysis detects and evaluates the peak-to-peak travels of the leeward conductor in the region of the wake. Typical results are reported and compared with the experimental findings of other researchers.
