Abstract :
The authors demonstrate a method of software design that computes optimum load shed for a requested load shed amount. The software controls a radio Broad- cast load maoagement system. Several load management techniques provide a maximum amount of load shed available as a function of time-of-day, ambient temperature, and load type. The software is capable of scheduling based on economics and on geographical area. The system includes customer priority levels, cyclical shed, load response time, and load shed time accumulation for each customer.
