Abstract :
The difficulty in identifying project sites for installing new hydel power plants or thermal power plants has given a big push for micro power plants particularly near the loads (DIstributed Generation). The paper proposes the selection a suitable small scale industry, base on a few criteria, which can harness solar energy and convert it to electrical energy. The design which is in-line with the load of the industry is explained and a financial analysis of the proposed system is also shown.
